Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

We have had a busy and fun summer! Not much to blog about right now......just enjoying life and thanking God for all He's given us! WARNING! Lots and lots of pictures below!

I don't know who Kate looks like, but she's has my chin and jawline. There's the Marten in her!Morgan just enjoyed her first chocolate animal cracker. Yum!

My little student

Tassy (Leland's mom) came in town to watch the girls while Leland and I went to a marriage seminar at our church! These girls love taking a bath together. Kate likes to help bathe Morgan

Having a tea party. Excuse Kate's morning hair-do

Spaghetti is my favorite!

Giving her baby doll kisses. So sweet! It's really more like mouth to mouth CPR, but still cute!

Strike a pose

Kate is really into puzzles right now. Hanging out at G and Tassy's house with Waney (Kate and Morgan's great-grandmother)

Morgan watching G and Leland outside

We went to Aunt Ellen's house (Leland's sister) for a family get together. The girls really enjoyed swimming in their pool

My New Toy

I have been wanting one of these for a long time now! A DSLR camera! I have a lot to learn, but immediately I could tell a difference between this one and my point and shoot. It's been so fun playing with it. Here's just a few pictures I've taken around the house with it. My mother-in-law has an 8x10 framed photo of Kate when she was 12 months on her wall in her house (taken professionally) and wants one of Morgan when she turns 12 months. So I'm determined to do it myself! I'm sure it won't be the calliber of what a pro could do, but it will definitely do a better than my point and shoot will do. We'll see how it turns out!

Morgan is 10 Months!

Our sweet Morgster is 10 months old! Two more months and she'll be a big 1 year old! Morgan is truly the BEST baby anyone could ask for. I think God knew we needed an easy baby to go with our not-so-easy toddler! She never cries unless she's hurt. She is always happy and smiling. She really is so easy to take care of. I can put her on the floor with toys and she never really fusses to be held. However, I will say lately she's been giving me attitude when I want her to stay still while I'm changing her diaper. she does not like to lay there still-always squirming.

Morgan is going to be one tough girl growing up with her big sister always roughing her up.

Morgan started crawling this past month! Yay! I was not in a big hurry for this, but honestly it's been great. She loves being able to move around and play with Kate. She also just started pulling up to stand.

To get around faster (or maybe just save her knees) she does this funny crawl on one knee and then brings her other foot forward instead of her other knee. Funny girl!

Morgan is an excellent little eater. She'll eat anything you give her. I mean, the girl gobbled up brussel sprouts one evening at dinner. I love it! I'm glad we're done with the baby food phase. Morgan is waving bye-bye and dances (bounces) when she hears music. She gives kisses to her baby doll. She's sleeping all night (7:30-7:30) and taking 2 naps a day (2 hours each time). This girl loves to sleep like her Momma. She is such a joy in our lives and we thank the Lord for this precious life He's given us.
