Tassy's 60th Birthday

Last weekend we celebrated my sweet mother-in-law turning 60!  She had a lot of family and friends drive from out of town to come celebrate with her.  We had  a great time!  Here is the whole crew.

Outside Fun

My girls absolutely love to be outside.  They would stay out all day if I let them. I love watching them play together.  It's so precious to see that my girls are becoming best friends.  They really do love each other!

 My brother and his family came over for my Mom's birthday weekend celebration.  Here are the girls with their cousin Pierce.  Aren't they cute?

 Kate finally got a big girl bicycle.  She lives on this thing now and is pretty fast on it.  She's been practicing on the neighbors' bicycle. 

I can't believe my first born is 3 1/2 now. It makes me a little sad that she'll be 4 on her next birthday.  Thankful for our little blessings!

Baby Shower Fun

A couple of weeks ago I hosted a baby shower for my sweet friend Melissa.  She had 2 boys who are the same age as my 2 girls and they are all good buddies.  Now she's having a girl!  I am so excited for her.  Actually, I'm late posting this, but she just had her last week and mom and baby Vivienne are doing great!  Melissa and I met through our MOMS club and hit it off right away.  Some of the girls from the club helpd me host.

 We had a brunch shower-lots of yummy food and punch.  We didn't do a cake, but one of the hostesses picked up some petit fours from a local bakery that were amazing!

 I had so much fun decorating.....lots and lots of pink.  My first time to make a diaper cake.  I love being crafty when I have a reason for it!  Melissa loved her shower and recieved lots of essential girly things.

Oh Baby, We're Having a Boy!

Most of you I'm sure know our very exciting news, but of course I have to blog about it.  I'm only a month behind on my blogging!    We are having ourselves a little Wells boy to carry on the Wells name!  We are so thrilled and I think still in a little shock.  We had our 20 week ultrasound and baby boy is looking great, praise the Lord!  We of course just wanted to hear that the baby was healthy but finding out it was a boy was just a wonderful bonus.  Baby Boy does not have a name yet and knowing us, we will procrastinate and be indecisive on this naming thing, so if we come up with one we will let you know.  I am too tired and lazy to scan and upload his sono picture.  But they all look the same anyway right? 

   I think after having 2 girls I could just picture myself with 3 girls.....that's all I know afterall.  But having a boy will add an interesting dynamic.  Keep in mind, he will be the only grandson on my side of the family out of 7 grandchildren unless my brother Kyle has one more.  And the only one on Leland's side until his sister has kids.   I have a feeling he's going to get special treatment from the grandfathers and uncles when it comes to hunting, fishing, shooting, etc.   I know Leland is excited to have a son to teach him things and have a close bond with his son like he and his dad have.  So that's our big news right now.  The baby will eventually take over Morgan's nursery and the girls will share a room.  I've decided to make his crib bedding and curtains so we'll see how that turns out!  More blogging udates to come!  I'm so behind.
