My Girls!

I love being able to stay home with my girls. God has blessed us so much and I'm so grateful I get to do all these fun things with them and watch them grow, learn, play, and just goof off!

Kate playing at our neighborhood park

Morgan can't wait until she's old enough to follow her sister around. In the mean time, she's stuck in the stroller when we go to the park.

the girls playing in the ball pit together. I rarely leave the 2 of them alone in a room together, but I ran into the kitchen for just a few seconds. When I came back in the playroom, Kate some how managed to drag/pickup Morgan off the floor and move her into the ball pit. haha! it was funny but scary at the same time.

Here's a few pictures of us cheesin for the camera. I had them in matching outfits and wanted to get some cute pictures. Of course, Morgan spit up on her shirt a few minutes later and I had to take it off and wash it....so the matching outfits only lasted for a few minutes. Oh well, at least we got some good pics first!

I love this one!

Kate is quite good with the camera!

Making Cookies

Whenever I'm on the phone or distracted, Kate knows she has a few minutes to be naughty and do something she's not suppose to. Stinker! Leland bought me some yellow tulips for Mother's Day and they were so pretty. One day after I got off the phone, I turned around to see all my pretty tulips plucked off and in a cup on the table.

Poor tulips

I figured Kate is getting old enough to help me do fun things like making cookies. We made some yummy chocolate chip cookies.

Pouring the flour in for me.

The best part of baking is liking the dough off!

Funny Kate

I thought I'd share some funny things Kate has been saying before I forget them. I should probably do this more often. My sister-in-law gave me the idea. Whenever I give Kate a plate of food that may still be hot and she wants me to blow on it to cool it off she says..."Mommy, blow it up". Also, sometimes if Leland is in another room, she'll call his name...At first she'll yell "Daddy!" But then after that she'll start yelling "Leland!" Since when were we on a first name basis with our 2 year old?! We laugh about it because first of all, it sounds so cute the way she says Leland and second of all, the fact that she's doing it is just plain funny. But she knows that we think it's funny so she keeps doing it, so now we're just trying to ignore her when she says it.
Also, Leland and I call each other "babe" a lot....so guess what. Kate says "Hey Babe" to Leland (usually after she's heard me just say it)...but still funny to hear come out of her mouth.
She's starting with the "What's that Mommy?" question about EVERYTHING. I love it though. I don't mind it because I know that's how she's learning, and besides, she's my little buddy at home. We have some pretty good conversations everyday and I wouldn't change anything about this sweet girl that God has given us!

Spring Fever

Spring is my favorite season. I love it when the weather starts warming up and everything turns green, the flowers are blooming and we can get outside to burn off some built up energy.

We have 2 birthdays to celebrate in May. One is Leland's and the other is my mother-in-laws. So we went to Clifton for a birhtday weekend

This was a giant sandwich that Kathleen made. It was so yummy and so huge I had to take a picture!

Earlier this year when Kate stayed with Kathleen and Gordon they were planting some seeds in their garden. G showed Kate how to put the seeds in the dirt but after she put them in the row he prepared she started spreading them everywhere she walked. So here is Kate's green beans that she planted........far away from the row of green beans!

Kate is constantly grabbing my camera. She knows how to turn it on and take a picture. Here are some pictures she took.

Goofing off

Kate and I had a picnic lunch in our front yard one day (Morgan was napping inside). We had so much fun!

Excuse the fuzzy pictures (Kate's finger prints on lense). Here's another one of Kate's photos. Pretty good huh?

We went to Wichita Falls for Mother's Day weekend and a family BBQ my dad's farm put on. We had some yummy smoked BBQ and good family time.

Kate loooves tractors. She wanted to sit in all of the combines even though they all look the same on the inside....she kept asking her Pop to take her to the tractors.

I had a great Mother's Day! Kate and Morgan bought me yellow tulips and a card. I'm so blessed to be a mommy of 2 sweet beautiful girls!

Morgan is 8 Months!

Wasn't I just posting that Morgan turned 7 months? Wow, another month has come and gone. I always take a picture of her to document her growth each month, but I think she looks the same these last few months......just chunkier and heavier. Here's a few pictures of our happy sweet Morgan.

I'm so glad I can bathe the girls together now. Morgan gets so excited when I start getting the bath water ready, she starts kicking her legs like crazy. It's so funny.

Normally kate is not drinking milk while she is in the bath, but for some reason she is here

they are so cute together!

Morgan is taking formula now but I still nurse her twice a day. She is eating her cereals and purees but is not into finger foods yet. We'll keep working on that. Everyone asks me if she's pulling up or crawling yet and no she is not. I'm sure that will be right around the corner! She is so smiley and laughs when you make funny faces or tickle her. She's very ticklish. She is still taking 2 naps a day and sleeping about 11 hours at night. She is saying da-da-da and ba-ba-ba. She loves being sung to and gets frustrated when I'm trying to read a book to her when all she wants to do is take the book from me and put it in her mouth. We love you sweet Morgan and can't wait to see what your little personality will be like. (Please Lord help her be my easy-going child).
