We're Good

So I had a little bit of a scare recently. I felt like I was having Braxton Hicks contractions where my lower abdomen (right where my uterus is ) would get hard like a rock for about a minute and then go away.....I'm only 16 weeks and not even really showing, so to think I'm already having BH contractions kind of freaked me out! I went to my OB yesterday and she checked me to make sure I wasn't dilating/thinning and did an ultrasound to make sure the baby was okay and all was great! She seemed to think I was just feeling the "growing pains" of my uterus. I'm not convinced however. I had BH contractions with Kate starting at 20 weeks and had them all throughout the entire pregnancy so I know what they feel like......but anyway, as long as the baby is okay, we're good! Another fun pregnancy symptom that has returned is my wonderful varicose veins on my left leg. It wasn't so bad when I was pregnant the first time because it was winter and I wore jeans and pants all the time, but no hidding it with this pregnancy since it will go on all summer. Oh well. I'll just get it lasered some day! Ha! Oh, we are finding out at the end of April whether we need to buy blue or get out all the pink again! Stay tuned!
I have been so bad about blogging lately. We are having BEAUTIFUL weather this week and we are loving it! Kate gets mad when we come inside from playing out in the yard. We're going to the zoo with some friends this Thursday and then having a picnic lunch at the park aftewards. I will have to post some pictures of that later this week!
Toodles!

12 Weeks Has Come and Gone

I had my 12 week OB check-up last week (I'm actually 13 weeks now-yea! Done with that first trimester!) To my surprise, she did another ultrasound. Wasn't expecting one......this one was so cool because when we had one at 8 weeks, you know they really just look like an alien in there, but it amazed me how much had changed in 4 weeks! We could see the arms and legs and the profile. Baby must have been sleeping because we were having to prod him/her to get him/her to move a little. So amazing! God's creation is awesome!
I'm feeling much better now and have begun to workout again which has felt good and given me some energy back.
Kate got her cast off today! Hooray! She hasn't had the opportunity to walk on it yet because she fell asleep as soon as we got home from the doctor but the doctor said she'll be stiff for a few days.
Leland finally was able to get his Mustang out for the first real drive this weekend because we finally had beautiful weather. I have some cute pictures of Kate sitting at the wheel I'll have to post later.
That's it for now, until next time.
