Harrison Is Growing

Wow!  Having 3 kids means no more time for blogging!  I am so behind it's just sad!  So here's a bunch of catching up!
Harrison.  He is just the sweetest thing.  I can't say enough that I love having a boy!  Maybe it's just because it's different, but it's such a special relationship and I'm so glad God blessed us with a son.
Here are his milestone pictures that I've been meaning to post.

Harrison at one month
2 months

                                                                         3 months
  Harrison weighed 11 lbs 15oz (50%) and his length was 34" (50-75%) at his 2 month check-up.
Harrison you smile when your mommy, daddy or sisters start talking to you or tickling you.  sometimes we can get you to laugh when we tickle you.  It's so darn cute!  You are not on a schedule yet but you are awake for quite a bit of the day.  You usually go to bed around 10:00pm and wake up around 3am to eat and then you go back to sleep until about 7am.  You are starting to bat at some or your toys on your play gym.  We can't wait to watch you grow and see what your personality will be like, but don't grow up too fast!  Your my last baby and I want to remember every moment!

Here is Harrison meeting his great-grandfather (Pappy) for the first time.  Harrison is Pappy's 10th great-grandchild.  I'm so glad I can show Harrison this picture someday and tell him all about his Pappy.

Morgan is 2!!

Our sweet little Morgan turned 2 on August 29th.  Poor thing had a fever and wasn't quite herself so we just stayed home and opened presents and had cake.  I had all these plans to take the girls somewhere fun, but oh well.  She didn't seem to mind spending her birthday at home.  We're celebrating with family next weekend so that should be fun!
 cheese!

Morgan loves her baby dolls and is such a good little mommy

she got a new dress and princess jewelry so she could play dress up with Kate.

Still not sure about blowing out candles.

I can't believe how big you are Morgan!  You have changed so much in the last few months and look and act so grown-up.  You had your check-up with Dr. Richardson last week.  You weighed 26lbs. (25-50%) and were 34.5"tall (75%) and your BMI as in the 22%.  You re  saying new words everyday but not quite stringing words together yet. You absolutely love following Kate around and playing with her but you also get frustrated with her a lot too!  You love babies and especially your new baby brother.  You love to hug and kiss him and he's the first person you want to see when you wake up in the mornings.  You and Kate share a bed at night but you still nap in your crib for now....until Harrison will need it.  You don't like to get into trouble and when you do, you get your feelings hurt.  Morgan,  we are so happy you are our little girl and we can't wait to watch you grow and see what God has in store for you.  We love you!

Introducing.....

Harrison Marten Wells
Born on August 6, 2012 at 2:18am
6lbs. 9oz.  18.9" long

Quick story of our little man's arrival:  We went to bed around 11pm.  I woke up at 12:30 with a really strong contraction and next thing I know my water broke!  Talk about great timing.  I didn't care though, I was so uncomfortable and ready to have this baby that I was ready to go!  Thankfully our girls were staying with Leland's parents so we got our things together and headed to the hospital.  On the way I started noticing my contractions were getting stronger and really close together.  I think Leland was going about 100 mph down George Bush Turnpike and running every red light.  We went to the emergency room and they took their time getting my info, meanwhile I'm starting to feel like the baby is coming soon!  I told them they needed to hurry and they realized I could have this baby any time now so they got me going pretty quick.  I was suppose to have a repeat c-sec and when the nurse checked me I was 7cm dilated.  She kept trying to talk me into a v-bac but I had planned on getting my tubes tied and was was not prepared to change the game plan at the last minute.  All I wanted at this point was the epidural and I didn't care how they got him out of me!  Ha!  Anyway, 2 hours after my water broke, our little man arrived.  He looked perfect and hearing him cry when he came out was music to my ears.  Thank you Lord for blessing us with 3 beautiful healthy children and having a son this time was just a bonus!

first day coming home

Kate and Morgan meeting their brother for the first time.  Unfortunately Kate had a little bit of a fever and we couldn't let her hold him so we wheeled him out in the waiting room so they could get a look at him.

The girls holding their little brother for the first time

Harrison is one week old here.  He was wide awake.  I think he looks a little like Kate when she was a newborn.  He has been a great baby so far.  He sleeps good at night.  Most times I have to wake him up to feed him and he usually goes right back to sleep.  He poops A LOT!  I have gone through more diapers with Harrison so far!  I pray this laid back personality stays this way.  We are just so in love with him and the girls cannot stop kissing him and holding him.   Morgan just calls him baby and kate calls him sweet baby brother or sweet Harrisony.  I have had help from family since we've been home but am anxious to see how I'm going to juggle 3 kids at home when it's just me!  Yikes!  I wouldn't have it any other way though.  I love my little family!

34 weeks!

I have been so bad about taking belly shots with this pregnancy.   But anyway, here I am 34 weeks pregnant.  My doctor has put me on part-time bed rest because my cervix is starting to thin.  I can officially go off of bed rest at 35 weeks so one more week to go!  We've been so blessed with people bringing us meals and offering to watch the girls.  My mom and mother-in-law have really stepped up and taken charge for me so it's been great!  I am so ready to not be pregnant anymore.  This third one is doing me in!

But our little man is all worth it.  We still haven't finalized a name but I think we have it down to 2 names and will probably wait until we meet him to see what fits.  You'll have to wait and see!

Painting Party

On one of our recent rainy days, Kate wanted to do some painting.  This is something I kinda dread, but they don't do it very often so we got all the paint out, I taped down some paper and let them go to town.  It started out pretty clean and organized and, well you'll see as the pictures progress that it didn't end that way!  We had fun and got a lot of laughs out of it!

I told them to make their silly face and this is what I got
Apparently this is Morgan's silly face.  I didn't even know she knew what that meant, but I guess she does because this is the face she made.  she's a funny girl.
not sure about the mess on her hands at first, but then I had to show her how to just rub her hands in it.  When she saw me do it, she realized it's ok and fun too
 her nose must have itched

At this point we were all laughing at the mess on their faces.

Morgan makes me laugh looking at this picture.  She's so quiet around most people, but at home she has such a funny personality and this picutre captures that.
Yes, they went staright to the bath tub after this last picture!  We had fun and made some memories.

Harvest Party

We headed to Wichita Falls a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my dad and uncle's wheat harvest.  They always have a big cookout every year and a lot of family usually comes in town for the party along with the combine crew and a lot of their business partners.  We had a good time and the kids had a blast!

Kate running around with her cousins

Kate and Pierce picking flowers amongt the combines

Morgan taking her baby doll for a walk

Morgan and her 3rd cousin (or 2nd??) Caden
Pierce brought her jeep and the girls rode it all weekend long

I was surprised at how good of a driver Kate is.  She is my little back-seat driver afterall
the girls just got done feeding the turtles

The girls played so well together and are really enjoying their friendship together.  Kate talks about Pierce all the time now.  We're going to have to start having some sleepovers with cousin Pierce!

The water was a little cold that day and Morgan was not a fan.  She's going to be my girly girl.

 Lunch time

We always have fun times in Wichita Falls!
