Easter Weekend

We had a neighborhood Easter egg hunt with some friends on Friday. One of our neighbors invited us over for lunch and some egg huntin! This was Kate's first time to hunt for eggs. She loved it!

Eating lunch. I love how Morgan is peeking over for the picture

The kids were suppose to be watching a cartoon while we hid the eggs. This lasted about 5 seconds and then they were peeking out the window. Actually, Kate came outside while we were hiding. She didn't quite understand she wasn't suppose to watch where we hid them.

Ready to go!

And their off!
The boys took off running. Kate just casually walked up to the eggs and inspected them before putting them in her basket. One had a fly on it and she passed it up...haha! We've got a girly girl on our hands.

I think they all got a fair amount

comparing their loot

Decorating cookies. Yum!

We went to Wichita Falls on Saturday and came home Sunday morning in time to go to church. Kate had a blast hanging out with her cousin Pierce. They play really well together.

Playing outside....what they both love to do best! They both slept on an air-up mattress together that night. So precious! Now we know we can do slumber parties! Unfortunately, Morgan is a creature of habit and did not like sleeping in a bed that wasn't hers. She ended up in bed with us all night and momma did not get any sleep! ugh!

Morgan is 7 months!!

I've fallen behind on my blogging, so I've posted 4 new posts....if you have some time, check them out! I'm late, but Morgan turned 7 months old last week! It's so crazy how fast time flies when it's your 2nd child. Before we know it we'll be celebrating her 1st birthday!
Morgan is just as sweet as ever. She really is a good baby. She sleeps all night (7:30 to 7:30) and takes 2 good naps a day. She eats really well...all her veggies/fruits and cereals. Sometimes I can't shovel it in fast enough before she starts fussing for another bite.
She's not crawling yet (no hurry Morgan!) but sitting up grabbing everything in her reach and going straight to her mouth. She is now taking baths in the big tub with Kate. I need to get some cute pictures of them in the tub together.

This is the first time either of my kids have fallen asleep in their high-chair.
It was so cute I had to capture it.

Morgan has been such a blessed addition to our family. I can't imagine life without her. she is so good-natured and easy-going (most of the time). I can't wait to see what her personality will be like.

Trip to Pop and Nini's

The girls and I took a weekend trip to WF to visit with my family. We didn't have much planned, just came home to hang out.
Morgan and Kate sitting with Pappy (their great-grandfather)

Pop feeding his cows
Kate had a good time throwing some feed out to the cows, but was too scared to get down on the ground with them.

My dad is growing Canola this year for the first time and it looked so pretty that we had to take a photo of it. Who needs bluebonnets when you have canola?
here I am posing with Pork Chops. he is a pet pig that Ricky and Melanie have. Ricky is a guy that works for my dad. He came up to their house one day when he was just a baby and Melanie wanted to keep him. He is wild though and is only tame around her. He would have torn me up if i went in that pin with him. Isn't he huge! Apparently he goes jogging with Melanie down the dirt road they live off of. I love it!

Kate sporting her Wranglers and boots getting ready to go feed the cows
Morgan's first time swinging. She loved it!

This is what Kate wanted to do the whole weekend. She would have stayed out there swinging all day if we allowed it.

I'm so excited we are inheriting this piano that was my grandmother's. I'm hoping Kate will take piano lessons here in a few years.

We had a great time just hanging out!

Blue Garage

I meant to post the before pictures first, but I'm too lazy to fix it now. Leland worked on a tedious project while me and the girls were in Wichita Falls last weekend. He has been wanting to paint/seal our garage floors and did our one car garage this weekend to try it out. I think it turned out great! It's very easy to clean and you can spill oil or just about anything on it and it just wipes up.
It was a 3 day project, but I think Leland is very happy with it and now he just needs to do our 2 car garage. He's very proud of it so I had to post about it. :)

Fort Worth Zoo

Last week, my girls and I went to the Ft. Worth Zoo with my good friend Melody and her 2 boys Elijah and Samuel and Aunt Ellen came with us too. We all had so much fun!
I just had to take a picture of this meerkat. They are so funny looking and interesting to me.
