Sorry, no pictures for this blog. I think eveyone who reads this blog already knows our exciting news, but I still need to blog about it! Actually, I kinda of think of this blog as a journal that I can look back on and read someday since I'm not writing these things down anywhere else and I have a horrible memory! Anyway, we are expecting baby #3! I am currently 14 weeks and due in August. We are excited but so busy I don't think it's really set in with us yet as reality.
We had always said we would have 2 kids and see how that goes before deciding on whether to try for #3. Well, I think even though 2 kids are a handful, especially when they're 20 months apart, we felt like our family was not complete yet. So we decided we would have 3 and maybe plan to have one in the fall of this year. We've always wanted to have our kids close in age. Well, the night before Kate's 3rd birthday I was laying in bed thinking I hadn't had my cylce in a while and got up to look at my calender to check...Sure enough I was a week late. I was a little surprised (we weren't trying to get pregnant yet, by the way) and had a pregnancy test left over from when I got pregnant with Morgan. I took it right away-Positive. What? I'm in shock. Leland is out on our patio working out and all I can think to do it take the test out to him and just show him. I don't think he was able to concentrate on working out after that! Of course I couldn't sleep that night and my mind was racing.
We decided to tell our parent's at Christmas time and tell everyone else a few weeks later. We are excited but I have to admit, I'm a little apprehensive about having 3 under the age of 3 1/2. I know God's plans are not always mine so I trust He will get me through it.
I will say I am so glad this is my last pregnancy. My circulatory system does not like me being pregnant! I had varicose veins with my last 2 and and it got so bad that I had to have surgery to fix them last year. Well, thank goodness, because I can only imagine how bad it would be with this one. I started noticing a rash-like spot on my lower legs. I went to the doctor today and they are leaking capillaries that is allowing blood to leak in my skin and gives it a "paprika" look like someone sprinkled paprika on my legs. The doctor said it's not harmful and usually goes away on its own, but oh my goodness! My veins are having a rough time with pregnancy. I just hope nothing else pops up.
Ok, that's enough rambling.
Oh, in case you're wondering Kate did great with her 2 fillings she had done at the dentist. We had to use the Nitrous Oxide gas (laughing gas) to get her to cooperarte, but with that it was a breeze! They didn't have to numb her because they were so small so that was a huge relief.
That's all for now!
